From the Fitzwilliam comes one of the world's great collections of ornithological paintings. A fine art calendar.
John James Audubon (1785–1851) was an American ornithologist and painter. He carried out extensive studies into the natural world and documented his findings through his detailed illustrations. Drawing from the Fitzwilliam Museum's extensive collection, this calendar showcases 12 of his illustrations from Birds of America, published between 1827 and 1838, which is considered to be his most impressive accomplishment. Informative text accompanies each work and the datepad features previous and next month's views. Printed on FSC-certified paper, with plastic-free packaging.
These paintings offer a birder’s view through the 12 months of the 2026 year. May they inspire you to delight in the winged ones who share your surroundings.
